We will be visiting Disney World the first week of March. We will be staying for 7 days and have park hoppers. It will be myself, husband, two sons that are 8 and 7 and two daughters that are 3 and 7 months. Thanks in advance!
Also, Have any recommendations for where to eat (we have the deluxe dining plan) and what attractions to see? Thanks! How long to visit each park in disney World?
Since you have 4 kids under the age of 9, I would say that it's going to take you at least 1.5-2 days per park depending on what you want to do in each park. You will definitely want to research each park and pick out the rides and shows that you definitely do not want to miss ( the shows are a good thing to do for little ones...they're entertaining, often feature familiar characters and give everyone a chance to sit and rest for a bit). A good schedule to follow that often works for families is to get up early and hit the parks right after they open, stay until early afternoon and then go back to the hotel, rest, nap, go to the pool, etc. Then return in late afternoon or around dinner for a few more hours. The mid-afternoons tend to be the busiest times. I wouls also get Fast Passes for rides when you can (although you can only get one per person at a time around the park). That way, your family can avoid standing in line as much as possible.
Suggestions for little ones ( and be aware that some of the more popular rides may be too intense for ages 7 and below so make sure you check on each attraction yourself):
Magic Kingdom ( the majority of the small children- targeted attractions are in Fantasyland and ToonTown Fair):
Mickey's ToonTown Fair- especially targets little ones and has lots of interactive little elements and characters for them to interact with- everything in here is great for small children
Country Bear Jamboree- Cute show, usually not too busy and good chance to sit and rest a bit
Mickey's PhilHarmagic
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor
Pooh's Playful Spot- Interactive playground- Great for giving the kids some free playtime after standing in line all day!
The Magic Carpets- Gentle ride but still exciting for little kids
Dumbo
Jungle Cruise
Peter Pan's Flight
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Animal Kingdom:
It's Tough To Be A Bug- 3-D interactive show- funny and great interactive elements
Kilamanjaro Safari
Boneyard- Interactive playground
TriceraTop Spin
Various Trails that showcase different animal exhibits (tigers, meercats, etc.)
Epcot:
The Living Seas- Turtle Talk with Crush- Very clever interactive show- Great for kids and adults- The Living Seas also has various ocean exhibits that you can wander around and look at like dolphin tanks
Honey I Shrunk The Audience- 3-D show- lots of fun, for kids and adults, maybe too intense for some very little ones
Image Works- Interactive exhibits- can wander at your own pace and choose what to do- for all ages
Ellen's Energy Adventure
The Land
World Showcase- Not a lot here directly for children, but definitely worth seeing!
Hollywood Studios:
Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure- really cool playground for kids
Toy Story Mania
Voyage of The Little Mermaid
Playhouse Disney Live on Stage- Especially targets little children
Muppet Vision 3-D
About a day each. This way your not trying to rush around to see everything and still have time to relax.
You should also check out the boardwalk at Universal! Very cool! How long to visit each park in disney World?
I think You have to spend at least two full days in the Magic kingdom to do everything you want to do. combine hollywood studios and epcot into one day. Go to Animal kingdom in the middle of the day.
have fun...and Space Mountain is a MUST!!!
I think you will need 2 days at Magic Kingdom and 1 day for the other parks. Possibly 2 days at Epcot, if your kids get into it. I usually need 1.5-2 days at Epcot if I am spending a lot of time in the World Showcase, but that might be a little old for your kids. Then on your other days, just go back to the parks and do your favorites.
Check out http://www.allearsnet.com for menus and prices. Be sure to get reservations for any sit-down meals.
My food recommendations would be Sci-Fi Dine-In at Hollywood Studios. Your boys will love it. Also, there are several character meals that I would say all your kids would love. How long to visit each park in disney World?
You should spend approximately a day in each park, but Disney's Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom can be half-days, and especially for a young family like yours, I suggest spending more time in the Magic Kingdom.
You also may have to split up when you're in the parks. Your young girls may not be able (or want to) ride the bigger rides your sons will want to do.
