it sucks but facee it - thats how it is.
kids arent suppose too understand it, so it doesnt matter. if a kid does understand dirty jokes like that, then atlest there not watching straight out blunt shows thats saids bad words and shows dirty images.
your 12 year old cousin already understands that stuff trust me. no matter how innocent and locked up the parents keep them. there are kids whoo know everything ( and probly does everything .. ) thats will tell them anyway ;( in todays youth we have pregnant 12 year olds. 11 year olds having sex. its sad but thats how it is. better them watching a PG tv show then having them watching a rated R moviee. or even doing some of the things that are in those movies ;P
** and yeah its soo dirty in the shows. im shocked sometimes on how wrong things sound and how they actually let those shows air. disney isnt soo bad - i find nick bad. i find icarly bad, ( idc, because i find it funny anyways ) they just say stuff that sounds way too wrong. the characters know it too. but thats how it is today :(
lol
Well if your cousin is 12 s/he is probably all ready talking about bad stuff. And if your 4 year old watches it they would have to know about it to understand it. I know when i was like 4 I laughed at stuff (bad stuff) when I watched movies like Austin Powers and I didn't get it and thought it meant something else so that's what most little kids do. I think they are just doing that so it's fun for the parents to watch too. And some shows are meant for older kids like 9-13. So they should get it. But some jokes don't make since because they make disney stars like miley, demi and jonas brothers have purity rings but yet they sometimes hint that stuff in shows. But I think it's for the parent's entertainment and for the kids to not understand.Disney is starting to put hints of dirty jokes in there shows? What do you think of this?
You're probably referring to what are called "double entendres", things that can be taken two ways (or more). This channel is supposed to represent profits for the Disney company, first and foremost, so the rule is, whatever it takes, or can get away with, without losing the bulk of its viewers. However, get serious. Bathroom humor and the like is what tweens and pre-teens enjoy the most, always have, always will, whether they hear it on TV or at school. Embarrassing, but harmless.
I've noticed it too, since my eight-year-old sister always watches Disney Channel.
I think they do it hoping to attract a slightly older audience or to keep from looking outdated or "too safe", but honestly, it SHOULD be safe as their target audience is elementary school kids. What's more, it's not even funny because the kids don't get it. And if they do, they probably (...hopefully) don't understand the "dirtier" meaning behind the simple jokes.
What bothers me more than the actual dialog though is the plot. All the shows are about teens doing teen things, mostly dating. It's not something that little kids can relate to and it just makes them think that's all there is to liking someone. My sister always asks me things relating to boyfriends and stuff, asking why don't I do this or why doesn't my friend do that, and I try to explain to her that everyone's different, there's no specific rules you have to follow, but her views of the subject or influenced by all those stupid shows.Disney is starting to put hints of dirty jokes in there shows? What do you think of this?
Honestly, if you go back and watch Spongebob, the show is hilarious. There is so much adult content and things that I find funny now that I didn't back when I was 8. Most of it is hidden in context so kids don't realize it, but I see it now and it's hilarious.
Believe me, you could go back to tons of shows from the 90's and find this stuff everywhere in children's shows.
That doesn't surprise me. The internet, tv, Hollywood, the advertisers, and other kids have been exposing children to sex %26amp; drugs at a ever younger age. Seems the only practical way to shelter youngsters is to live in a log cabin with no electricity....it is the fault of the media.
Its whatever. Honestly, the kids are going to be teenagers one day, and they will make dirty jokes anyhow. I mean, i'm not saying they should watch TOTALLY bad shows, but like, its not like the kids get it anyways.
What do you mean 'starting', it's been like that for years, you probably just didn't notice it until now.
I find it disguisting. I miss the old ninty cartoons like "Garfield", "Recess" and shows like that.
they put them in there so they're somewhat bearable for adults. it's not like the kids get the jokes. and they've always done that, have you watched old disney movies recently?
:D
I'm 11 and I don't laugh... but I know what they mean.
What were they saying in that? I mostly notice it in movies, but in shows occasionally.
I agree, though.
they have always done it even in the Lion King, the Littlle Mermaid its just it was more supple
Check this video out:

They've ALWAYS done it. You just didn't notice it when you were a kid. Like in one of the movies they drew a penis on a castle.
Can you give me an example of these jokes?
I occasionally catch a disney show...I'm not recalling any "dirty jokes".
you dont want your 12 year old cousin watching that cartoon thats hinting inappropriate things?
we've got 12 year olds running around pregnant.
face reality babe.
its 2010 now :)
They've always been there. Disney movies from decades ago have hidden dirty jokes and dirty references.
haha. but disney has been putting those things in things from 10+ years ago. like beauty and the beast. and the lion king and many others.
wow odds are if you have ever listened to hilary duff's so yesterday backwards it shows how modern day kids role models arte pathetic
Get with the program!! This has been going on for ages! I'm surprised they haven't added sex scenes yet...that's how rated-r they're getting.
Its really dumb. I guess they're doing it for the parents who are stuck watching it.
Yeah, they have always been doing stuff like that, you just catch it more as you get older.
Its 2010 gurl.
Parents gets stuck watching those shows, so make them good for everyone.
God, why does eveything these days have to do with sex, drinking, or drugs?
