What is the best hotel to stay at in Disney World in Florida?

I really like the Animal Kingdom Lodge but its pretty expensive... Is it worth it to stay at a nice hotel to ge the full experience or is staying at a lesser expensive hotel more ideal?

This would probably be the only time we would go so is it better to make the most of the trip?

It would be my parents and me and my sister, and im 17 and my sister is 18 fixing to go off to college.

Thanks

Oh and we live in Texas so its not like its easy to go to disney world. And we have four free flights. What is the best hotel to stay at in Disney World in Florida?
I've stayed in Polynesian and loved it, friends stayed in Port Orleans and loved it there too! They are all great places to stay, thinking about trying the Contemporary Resort next :-)
Well I would have to say that i have stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge and it was so amazing! It is really a hard decision because I have stayed at less expensive resorts as well and had just as nice of a vacation! I always have my travel agent give me a resort from each of there categories inside Disney (value, moderate or deluxe) and then go from there, sometimes I have been pleasantly surprised that it was not that much more to upgrade! And I just got an email with a promotion for free dining if you can travel end of August through September-check it out! Happy Planning! What is the best hotel to stay at in Disney World in Florida?
Stay in one of the Disney resorts so you'll have free transportation to and from the airport, and to and from the Disney parks. If Animal Kingdom Lodge is too expensive, then consider one of Disney's moderate or value resorts... you're not going to be spending that much time in the hotel anyway, so spend that extra cash at the park instead :)
Hai..i think it's best for you to compare hotels price near Disney world Orlando at hotel combine web page (http://www.hotelscombined.com/City/Orlando.htm?a_aid=28576)What is the best hotel to stay at in Disney World in Florida?
I agree. I've stayed at the Pop Century and loved it! One big advantage that the Pop Century has over the other value resorts is that they have their own bus. The All-Star Resort share a bus.

Honestly, I loooooove Pop Century. It *is* on the noisier side... But you don't get the school groups and stuff there. They go to the All-Star resorts.

For the price, I can't complain. Three swimming pools, one of which is ALWAYS busy, but two of which are less busy.

I have a hard time justifying the price of the moderate and deluxe resorts. For one, I don't really spend a LOT of time there. I generally sleep there, shower, and occasionally come back to freshen up, change clothes, and then I'm off to the parks or to Downtown Disney. I don't feel the need to pay extra when I'm not usually spending much time there. I do take a "day off" that I spend lounging or swimming at the hotel, and yeah, I spend time in the room, but it is nice.

Pop Century was recently renovated from top-to-bottom. There's new paint, furniture, fixtures, televisions, etc. So, it's like going to a "new" hotel.

It does get noisy, since it *is* a value resort, and it is full of children. But, I've never had a severe problem, and what problems I did have (kids running loose, knocking on doors, yelling, etc.) the front desk took care of it for me. Either that, or I honestly slept right through it. Usually after a full day running through the parks in the hot sun, I'm so exhausted that I'd sleep through the apocalypse.

Give it a shot; you'll probably love it. (And I bet your parents will enjoy it, too.)
