We are thinking of going to Disney world and Sea World. We have never been and don't want to miss anything. We have Kids from age 7 to 15 and want to enjoy a great family vacation. How many days do I need to plan in Disney World and the Orlando area?
I am the person to go to for ANY Walt Disney World information. Or any Orlando theme park information. Anyone who says you can do Disney World in 5 or less days is crazy. It is pretty much a waste of money to go to WDW if you're not going to do everything they have to offer. There is so much recreation, dining, and of course, theme parks. There are 4 theme parks which each take A WHOLE DAY to complete. And you really don't want to miss ANYTHING. Disney also has 2 incredible water parks. You'll want to take at least half a day to do each water park. And then there's Downtown Disney... which is mainly shops, but there's also the AMC 24 Theatre Complex, Disney Quest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, and also Cirque Du Soleil: La Nouba. La Nouba is a must-see. It's simply mesmerizing. You'll never see anything like it. And Downtown Disney takes almost a whole day. This doesn't include time to do any recreation or play at the pools or Resorts if you're staying on Disney property, so you want to take as much time as possible just for WDW. While you're there, since you want to go to other parks as well, I recommend getting passes to Discovery Cove which is owned by SeaWorld. It's an all-day thing where you go swim with dolphins and other fish, like stingrays. They also have a bird aviary. And when you purchase passes to Discovery Cove you get free passes to SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, or both. SeaWorld I definitely recommend, as well as Busch Gardens. Busch Gardens has an awesome selection of roller coasters. As for Universal Studios... I haven't been because everyone tells me it's not worth it and to stick with Disney. Unless you have an extra day, then go for it. (Katlyn086 on AIM or @yahoo.com if you need anymore help, I love answering questions about Disney and the Orlando theme parks.)
5 is a good start. It takes at least two to see Disney, plus a day each for Epcot, Universal and Seaworld. It may also be worth an extra day or so to spend at the beach. How many days do I need to plan in Disney World and the Orlando area?
We are going JUNE 5 and staying 5 nights and 6 days.

Disney World alone should be given about 5 to 7 days minimum. Ten days is actually a good amount of time for just Disney, to see everything that is. I would say no less than a week if you want to do Sea World as well. If you stay Disney and have passes, the price to get extra days at Disney is so inexpensive, it can be really costly to go to Sea World as well. Also, if you get the dining plan, you will have to pay for food at Sea World, but I guess I'm getting on subject here.
Anyhow, I think that a week would be the absolute minimum I would do, especially if you want to go to Sea World. I assume you have more than 2 kids, so that will take some effort to get everyone on rides, around the area, etc. So these are all things to consider as well, it could slow you down a little in the parks. How many days do I need to plan in Disney World and the Orlando area?
I usually go to Disney world for 6 days and there's still stuff that I didn't get to do that I wanted to. So at minnimum a full week at Disney World. I mean with 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, and downtown disney, there is so much to do! Sea World I believe could be done in a day so I reccomend staying in Orlando for about 8-9 days. But thats rushing everything so if you want to be able to take things slow and leisurely stay an extra day. There's so much to do in Orlando it will blow your mind! I hope you have a great trip!
Well ive been 4 times and a total of 11 weeks and i still want to go back, the first time i went i went for 2 weeks in the april easter holiday and did all the disney parks sea world and universal and went ot busch gardens the 2nd time, i wouldnt worry about the kids getting tired whilst walking cos they wont get bored so they wont notice it, i didnt went i went 1st wen i was 12.

5 to 7 days if you want to go to Disney World and SeaWorld and if you want to go to Universal studios you'll need about 10 days then you'll have enough time to also relax
I would recommend the 5 day disney park hopper because not all the parks you'll need the whole day to see because some of them are smaller then the other Disney Theme parks and it is much more cheaper
Disney has 4 parks. Magic Kingdom takes about 2 days, Epcot takes 2 or 3 days, MGM Studios takes a day and Animal Kigdom takes a day. Sea World can be done in a day. The best thing to do is research. My favorite resource is allearsnet.com. The tips on that site can save you tons of time and money.
