Is the area around Broson Memorial Highway outside of Disney World safe at night? We booked for 7 nights there?

Also, we plan on visiting Disney-world, SeaWorld, and Universal. Other than these 3 theme parks, along with one day for visiting the Kennedy Space Center, what is there to do in Orlando/area within a day-trip distance? Any good places that is natural/ scenic beaches for relaxing and not too far from Orlando will be fine.Is the area around Broson Memorial Highway outside of Disney World safe at night? I suppose you mean Irlo Bronson Highway. This is part of US 192, which goes from US 27 NW of Disney, all the way to Melbourne and the Atlantic beaches.(over 60 miles total) The road has many different names and can be confusing. For many years Disney had only 2 then 4 hotels on property and hundreds of hotels and motels sprung up on Bronson. With the construction by Disney of more than 20 hotels, many or most of the places on 192 or in the Kissimmee area have closed. Many are very, very run down and show their age. There is no free lunch - If you don't want to pay the Disney prices, Bronson is probably ok if you take the normal precautions.. Be very careful with the many snake oil salesmen in the area, selling phoney Disney tickets and just about everything from ocean front property in Arizona to the Brooklyn Bridge. Take 192 right down to the beach and you won't be too far from the Space Center. Many like going west to the gulf coast beaches (less tourists and calm water)Is the area around Broson Memorial Highway outside of Disney World safe at night? We booked for 7 nights there?
The areas around Disney are kept pretty safe, because of the high number of tourists.

The Canaveral National Seashore is close to the Kennedy Space Center (which actually shares land with the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge!)

Some popular beaches on the Atlantic side (that are about an hour and a half drive roughly) are Melbourne, Cocoa Beach, New Smyrna Beach, and Daytona Beach. The Atlantic side has rougher waves and some beaches get pretty packed-and in some areas the beaches are full of parked cars-ruins the idea of the beach in my opinion.)

If you go West (NOT East as somebody else stated) to the Gulf Coast beaches, it will be about 2 hours or so. Clearwater is a great beach (and the sunsets are amazing!)

Other natural/scenic places to visit-Ocala National Forest is north of Orlando, and Hillsborough River State Park is a little more than an hour (heading West towards Tampa) and you can hike or rent canoes there and see wild alligators. Is the area around Broson Memorial Highway outside of Disney World safe at night? Yes. As Broson heads into the city of Kissimmee there is a bit of trashiness. But there is really no reason to be in that area. Besides, the worst area is not that bad. It is old and run-down but not a crime infested ghetto or anything close. The beaches near the Space Center are nice.
Check out Blackpoint Wildlife Drive and Playalinda Beach at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge for natural FL.
