Shake it up, the newest hit disney sitcom, has two main characters who so skinny that you know they have eating disoders. Young girls are in danger! Why does disney allow their young girl audience to have bad role models?
Bella is only 13 and stands at five feet even. I doubt she has an eating disorder. She's just small. Zendaya is 14 and even though she is 5' 7" (that's surprising), dancing and possibly being small boned can make her look thinner than normal. Just because someone is skinny doesn't mean they're unhealthy. I mean, you probably wouldn't think a guy who is tall and thin has an eating disorder, you'd just describe him as lanky. In Zendaya's case she's just lanky, but not ungraceful.
Then stop watching it and convince others to do the same. If you are upset by anything you see on a show - whether the story line, the weight of the actors, the message they give, etc, then start a petition on any of the thousands of parenting websites and get as many signatures as you can. You need to make your voice heard and if enough other people agree and ratings start to drop because people join your boycottt, Disney will pay attention
I've never seen the show and have no idea if the girls are too skinny or not but in general the only way to make things change is to make your voice heard and find others who think like you do and organize a petition and boycottWhy does disney allow their young girl audience to have bad role models?
What does their body have to do with anything. There are many people with eating disorders. That's what's wrong with Hollywood. When your famous they pressure to have this perfect size
Disney isn't the one choosing role Models. People choose their own Role Models
You mean all of the Disney princesses, with their shallow naivety and complete submission to random strangers kissing them while they sleep, have been eclipsed by more Disney pop BS!?
heresy! Why does disney allow their young girl audience to have bad role models?
Idk but that show ******* sucks, bring back old Disney.
