How far in advance should I buy Disney park tickets?

We are getting the 7 day park hopper + water park and more option. My trip is July 14-21 and I was wondering when should we get them? My friend said we can get them when we get there but I thought we get them in advance (I know the parks won't like sell out or anything) but when do we get them and how? Off the Disney site? There's no difference in price whether you buy them at the gate or in advance, but it is more convenient to buy them in advance, in my opinion. It saves quite a bit of time because the lines to buy tickets at the gate can be quite long (I have waited in line half an hour to get tickets at the Transportation and Ticket Center before, and that was during a less busy time of year; you could probably expect to wait 45 minutes to an hour during July). There will be plenty of time spent waiting in long lines when you're in the parks without having to wait in a long line before you even get in.



Make sure you select a shipping option; the cheapest is $5.00. The only free option is Will Call, which really defeats the purpose of buying in advance because you will still have to wait in line at the Will Call window to pick up your tickets. I would go ahead and buy them now so you'll be sure to receive them well in advance of your trip.

I would buy them now just so that you don't have to stress about it when the trip gets close. You can buy them off the disney site or you can go to your local disney store (if you have one) and purchase them thereHow far in advance should I buy Disney park tickets?
No matter what, I'm pretty sure you have to go up to willcall with the voucher to get the actual ticket.



It doesn't take that long to get the tickets from the booth (or willcall), so I don't think it will matter much.
A week before the trip.

You won't stress about not having them.
