When is the best time to visit Disney World?

I will be travling with a seven year old. Is Disney world or Disney Land better to visit? Where is the best place to stay? Where are the best places to eat? When is the best time to visit Disney World?
Have been to both Disneyland and Disney World and Tokyo Disney. There's more to do in Orlando outside of Disney World than in Anaheim.

The best time to visit is when school is in session and on a weekday. Don't go during spring break or winter break.

I went to Disney World the week before Memorial Day and it was really nice. Weather was good, and not too crowded.

Both are essentially the same with mostly the same rides and experience. Lodging is probably cheaper and nicer in Orlando.

Good luck and have a good vacation. A seven year old would like either.
If you are on the east coast like myself, Disney World would be best because it would take less time compared to going to California and waiting for hours. (I have been to both by train btw). Either way of transportation, I think Disney World is definitely worth the wait especially if you have a seven year, it is definitely alot of fun. Whenever my family and I go we always stay at the Quality Inn hotel on the International Drive (7600), where everything entertainment wise is right down the street from you. But anyway I say go to Disney World, hope you have a great trip!

P.S. Check out the websites below for more informationWhen is the best time to visit Disney World?
You're asking very subjective questions, so there are no "right" answers to them. I'll give my personal opinions, however.

First, Walt Disney World (Florida) vs Disneyland (California). WDW wins hands down, in my opinion. DL is exactly two parks (one of which is almost universally seen as poor) and a Downtown Disney area. WDW is four theme parks, two water parks, mini golf courses, a plethora of hotels, and the Downtown Disney area. There is so much more to see and do in WDW than there is in DL. Plus, the vast majority of the attractions found at DL are also found at WDW.

The best time to visit, in my mind, is mid-to-late October. The crowds are fairly light (because parents don't want to pull their kids out of school so soon after starting); You can go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party; Epcot's Food %26amp; Wine Festival is happening; Hotel rates are at their second-to-lowest season; and the weather is still pretty warm. If that's not doable for you, I'd recommend the 6 weeks following Jan 1. The weather will be a little colder, you're missing the MNSSHP and the F%26amp;WF, but crowds will still be light and hotel rates still fairly low.

The best place to stay is dependent upon what you're looking for in a hotel. Will you be spending a lot of time in your room, or most of it in the parks? If you're spending little time in the room, and cost is a concern, the value resorts are for you. Of the four value resorts (All Star Music, All Star Movies, All Star Sports, and Pop Century), I heartily recommend Pop Century. It's laid out so that no room is too far from a pool or the gift shop or the bus stops. It's also the newest of the four, and reviews of it are generally higher than the other three.

If you'll be spending more time in your room, you might want to consider upgrading to a moderate or even deluxe hotel. They offer much more room in their rooms and additional ammenities like table-service restaurants within the complex, baby-sitting service, and more pools. They also cost significantly more, of course.

Best places to eat is probably the most subjective. What is your qualification of "best"? Most entertaining, you want to do some of the character meals - Garden Grill in Epcot, Hollywood %26amp; Vine (for breakfast or lunch only) at MGM, Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom, Donald's Breakfast-a-saurus at Animal Kingdom. There's also Prime Time Caf茅 and Sci-fi Dine In at MGM. The first pretends you're living in a 60's sitcom, and your servers play members of your family. The latter is set as though you're going to a drive in movie, complete with tables shaped like convertables and sci-fi movie trailers playing on the big screen.
If elegance is what you're looking for, try the Hollywood Brown Derby at MGM, or almost any of the table-service meals at the resorts. If value is more your concern, there are a plethora of counter-service restaurants at each park and resort, for far less money than the table-service meals.

My one-stop place for all of this sort of information is AllEars.net. Here's just a few parts of it you want to check out:
http://www.allears.net/acc/faq_hot.htm - Descriptions of ALL the hotels, including rates and amenities
http://www.allears.net/din/dining.htm - menus (including costs) of all the restaurants
http://www.allears.net/btp/beyond.htm - what to do outside of the four main theme parks
http://www.allears.net/reviewpost/ - ratings and reviews of each hotel and restaurant.

Hope this helps you have a "Magical" Disney vacation
disney world, pop century is a really cool disney hotel i stayed there and food i ate at the hotel and went to like the princess breakfast things and at dinner with mickey and his little friends. it was fun and ur son will like it i think! have fun!! im sure disney land is fun too but depending on where u live and its ur descisionWhen is the best time to visit Disney World?
I found that the first 3 weeks in December to be the best. Nice temperatures and low crowds.

Epcot has some of the best places to eat but none of it's cheap. Make reservations.

Staying in one of the hotels on the monorail like makes things easy.
Well, it depend on where you live. If you live up north then winter time is a pretty good time to come down south to florida and escape the cold weather.
Disney World is better. Go in July, when the even the locals are too wimpy to brave the weather. Your kid won't care that it's 105F out.
We went the week before Christmas last year and the employees said it was the slowest time of the year.
the best time is .... when you are under the age of 10.

Sorry!
