I would suggest going through Disney. Check out there website. It will suggest the number of days to buy your tickets for based on how long you are staying there, but you can change it to a different ticket if you are not going to a Disney park every day. And we included the quick service dinning plan which was defiantly worth it. We had plenty of meals and snacks left over at the end. You also get lots of other perks, like transportation at Disney world and to/from the airport, extra magic hours and a bunch of other stuff. We got a book in the mail before our trip with a coupon for free mini golf, $15 off planet hollywood and more. What is the best way to book a Disney vacation?
I found that booking sirectly saves alot of money as well as your fees are explained upright. If you are flying then you can purchase tickets with insurance to get a refund if something happens, as well as if you purchase directly through Disney you can get a refund up til 90 days in advance if you have to cancel. If you purchase through expedia or one of those sites you may not get a refund if you have to cancel. I just read an article that they do not refund the amount of airline tickets since they are non refundable and the insurance only covers certain situations. Read all the small fine print before you accept the terms. Since you also want to do Universal I would look at all the sites such as Disney, Seaworld, and Universal. Last year we were able to get a great deal through Universal for hotel and tickets which we then just purchased tickets for Disney through mapleleaftickets.com and the hotel we stayed at had transportation free of charge to all the parks. Some of the offers you can add on or delete the tickets to just get the deal for the hotel room. Since you prefer to stay on site check out the deal that they are offering, they should (hopefully) offer the dinning deal in August if they continue with the trend from the past years. For a family of 4, 2 kids over 10 this is alot cheaper then the buy 4 get 3 free deal. Check out mearstaxi.com for the cost to go to Universal since they are the main form of transportaion to Universal. What is the best way to book a Disney vacation?
i have planned many a disney trip and i actually just planned my own for thanksgiving break. so if you have any questions feel free to ask...to start with you have to decide how you are going to arrive at the walt disney world resort...driving or flying would be the two best options. Next i would recommend staying at a disney owned and operated resort because you get a lot of perks that visitors who stay at other hotels don't. An example being free transportation to the disney parks as well as some free dining options at the parks depending on the time and resort of your choice. There are three different levels of price you can choose...value, moderate and deluxe. If you want more information on any of those options let me know. and since your interested in universal you can get a 1-day 1-park ticket for 89.99 dollars each with an extra 25 dollars if you want the express pass added on so you don't have to wait in line to get on all the rides! plez post a comment back if you would like my e-mail as a more convenient way to communicate! enjoy your trip.
It is best to book through an authorized Disney specialist travel agent as they know what special are available.
I would suggest either bookin through the Disney website or Small World Vacations: http://www.smallworldvacations.com/
You can find special offers on the Disney website or at: http://www.mousesavers.com/
