How can I get on Disney without an agent?

I really want to be on Disney but a lot of Disney starts got on Disney with an agent. But I want to get on without one. How can I do that?

You really do need an agent. To get an agent, the first thing you need is experience. Audition for school plays and join the drama club. You should also try out for local community theatre shows. Take as many acting classes as possible. Read some books on acting (those by Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, Kristen Linklater and Jack Poggi are great). Be sure to get the support of your parents, they can help you a lot.

Why would you even want to get on Disney without someone who knows the biz making the deal for you?



That said, No way are you getting on Disney w/o representation.

You can't. Even if Disney does an "open casting" as a publicity stunt, they aren't ever going to sign someone who is not already represented by an agent, unless that person has a family member who is in the entertainment industry. All of the people who were supposedly "discovered" by Disney are just PR stories - in reality everyone had been acting, singing, dancing, etc for years and years and had an agent before they even got to Disney
