What do you think about Disney and its recent shows?

How do you think little children will be affected by the television shows they're seeing nowadays?



I'm a teen now, but I grew up adoring Barney, Sesame Street, Clifford, Reading Rainbow, etc.

My six year old sister is constantly watching Disney shows that are aimed for kids a little older than her.



Do you think that Disney is really sending out appropriate messages to children? Even though it's Disney, most of the shows are about teenagers that have boyfriends/girlfriends. It makes kids want to get into relationships at a young age.

I think its basically crap. At least compared to how it used to be. We miss Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, etc. Even adults could enjoy those series.

Today i really find it amazing that kids want to waste their time watching it. Maybe its because they don't know about the classics?

I also find it very offensive how some of these cartoons have been mixed up with a primitive form of hidden brainwash. I.e. "Do your homework", "respect others", etc.

The "Reality" theme of many modern cartoons and movies is shameful, and could very well push sensitive teens to make some choices that they regret later in life. But it is without doubt, up to the parents to control what is acceptable.

I still remember a funny incident from my own teens, where the girls went crazy about some dude, (child rapper at the time), who won some music "competition". Sadly he ended up in jail, after stabbing hes probation officer to death with a kitchen knife recently.

We have the same scenario with many teenage girls today, who totally lack the ability to judge other peoples character, where the "star factor" seem to dominate common sense. I can't imagine guys having the same disability, but thats likely because most of us are allergic to morons, wannabes, and stupid reality shows.What do you think about Disney and its recent shows?
They all suck. Disney only cares about making money and ruining the youth. They should be boycotted or get some new people to make better shows
