Any tips on going to disney with children?

My husband and I are taking 4 out of 6 of our children to disney this summer (the other two will only be 2 months old). We are staying at porter orleans riverside. I want to make this trip is the best trip ever for them. Any tips or ideas on things to do or special things to see?

You've received a lot of awesome responses from the others that have already responded to the same questions you've left before. Please realize I'm so familiar with your excitement, because I still get excited each time we go to WDW and therefore can't blame you one bit for asking this question over and over. Obviously the more you ask the more suggestions you'll receive. But I was wondering, have you visited allears.net? There is so much invaluable information on that website that will help you make the most of your trip with your little ones. Regardless of all our repeated visits to WDW I still use this website to look up all kinds of info. They even have a menu to the restaurants that can help you figure out what you and your family may want to order when you get there. I think you'll really find it worth perusing.

***EDIT*** I actually have a good tip you may want to use. Each time we stay at a WDW resort we forget that we can check-in online. When we stayed at PO Riverside last month there was a bus-load of people checking in at the same time we were. Needless to say the line was super long, and yet the line for those who had checked-in online was practically non-existent. Keep this in mind to make your arrival stress-free especially with your little ones who will be ready to explore.Any tips on going to disney with children?
first off -- realize you won't get to see everything and that the younger children WILL get more tired than the older ones. since you are staying at the disney resorts i recommend leaving the park about 1:3-2pm and letting the little ones nap (with mom %26amp; dad llol) and let the older ones head to the pool if they are okay to be on their own.

if you're doing animal kingdom got bright and early - be there before it opens and head right back to the safari, this will allow you to see the animals while they are still awake!Any tips on going to disney with children?
I would take a double stoller (or 2 umbrella strollers) for the 2 %26amp; 5 year olds. There is a lot of walking. If they get tired out %26amp; cranky that won't be much fun. Take water bottles to keep the children hydrated %26amp; bring snacks. Since you on staying on site, you can buy a mug at your resort that can be refilled throughout your stay for free. Make resrvations for dining as soon as you can. places fill up fast. Take some breaks once in a while. The sights %26amp; sounds can get overstimulating to the younger ones. You can all get on line %26amp; do the parent switch to get on rides, so you don't have to start all over at the end of the line. Use Fast Passes (free) for rides. Check the disney web site %26amp; plan as much as you can before you go to save time. You can order a Disney vacation planning DVD %26amp; personalized map from the site. They are both free. Don't forget the camera, video camera, batteries, sunscreen %26amp; light rain jackets. Have fun!
take them to all of the different parks. (magic kingtom, hollywood studios, epcot, and animal kingdom) If you are trying to save money and stuff the best ones are magic kingdom and animal kingdom) Other parks are blizzard beach and typhoon lagoon. those are water parks inside of disney. Take them to down town disney. it has movie theaters and great restaurants.
