Does anyone have tips for bringing an infant to Disney World?

We are going to Disney World in two weeks. It's me, my hubby, a 6 year old and an 8 month old. Does anyone have some helpful tips for bringing an infant with us?Does anyone have tips for bringing an infant to Disney World?
Be very patient and don't expect to do everything in one day! I would suggest taking at least 2 days for Magic Kingdom. If you are staying at a Disney Resort, it will be very convenient for you to go back to the room during the day for breaks, and to let your 6 year old maybe take a swim in the pool. Then you could go back to the park in the evening for dinner and see the parade and fireworks! I would also suggest renting a double stroller at the park- your 6 year old will need it too! They are very roomy and move smoother than any stroller I have ever seen! Take hats for everyone as it can be quite sunny and HOT, even this time of year! Bring sunscreen and snacks for everyone as well, and some bottled water. Have fun and hope this helped!
Stay at a Disney property either on the monorail line or the wilderness lodge (easy to get to by the boat from MAgic Kingdom). This way you can take baby back to rest during day at hotel very easily and older kids can stay at park if they want. Or go back to hotel and swim. Then they can stay up later for fireworks.Does anyone have tips for bringing an infant to Disney World?
I've known people with young children that bring a relative to help entertain the baby while they take turns on the rides. Or even take the baby back to the resort for a good nap while the parents stay in the park with the older child.

If relatives are out I'd plan to use a double stroller, stay in a resort on property, take time out for naps and pool time, make sure the kids drink plenty of water and take tons of photos because the 6 year may not remember it very well without some visuals.
Make sure that you bring everything you need for the baby with you! I'm talking formula, milk, and snacks. Because Disney isn't very baby friendly.. lol I have brought my god-daughter who is now a year a few times when she was an infant. Make sure you bring sun screen for the babys legs in the stroller, and make sure you bring a blanket because it does get very chilly at night!

Have a great trip!Does anyone have tips for bringing an infant to Disney World?
The Disney parks do have Baby Care Centers in all their parks http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/com鈥?/a>

If you're there when it's hot, go in there every couple hours to cool off. Also, make sure to take advantage of the Rider Trade option Adults with youngsters too small to ride may take turns riding an attraction. There is no need to wait in line twice. Ask a Cast Member for details. They let one adult and the 6 year old go on a ride and then the other adult %26amp; the 6 year old gets to ride again.

Also, take swim suits %26amp; swimmies so the kids can play in all of the fountains (again, if you're going when it's really hot).
It looks as though you already have your trip planned, but if it were me, I just wouldn't bring a baby that small. I'm going in September, and I have a 6, 3 %26amp; 1 year old. I'm leaving the 1 year old at home. That way, my husband and I can focus our trip on the kids that will actually enjoy and remember the trip. I will definately bring my baby with the next time we go, but it will help make the trip smoother %26amp; more enjoyable for everyone to let her stay with family while we go.

I know that it's sometimes easier said than done for some parents to leave a child behind on a trip, but I figure that if you're spending all of that time and money on a vacation, you should get the most out of it. A baby will make for a LOT of trips back to the hotel for naps, feedings, and everything.
As others have mentioned, plan to take it easy and slow. And plan on taking a mid-day break back at your hotel, which is why it's probably best to stay on property. That way you can take advantage of the Disney transportation and you won't waste too much time going back and forth between the parks and the hotel room.
