Should it be by Disney, or should I not "compete" with their current stars? Should it be uptempo or slow? I have a fairly wide range and can sing anywhere from alto to soprano. Thanks. What Song Should I Sing For a Disney Audition?
Sing whatever you're most comfortable with, something that displays your range best and you can put a lot of emotion into. Good singers are a dime a dozen, but it's all about the personality you project, your looks, your charisma, your confidence, your professionalism, and whether or not you fit the part they're thinking of. Singing ability is probably last of the list on the top 10 things they're looking for.
Best of luck!
PLEASE dont sing anything thats from High School Musical!!! Is that even disney? lolWhat Song Should I Sing For a Disney Audition?
Somewhere over the Rainbow.
My humps from the black eyed peasWhat Song Should I Sing For a Disney Audition?
I agree with the other answer---Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
Another great Disney song is When You Wish Upon A Star. If you can find the blues version, it is a kickaxe song. Sorry, but I don't remember the artists name.
I would sing somewhere over the rainbow, that's the song that I sang at an audition recently. Theres many good things about this song because it's an older song, so it appeals to older people who may have been growing up when the film came out, but also everyone knows it so it will appeal to a youner audience, too. The song also has a great range, so you'll really get to show what your voice can do, just try not to "over sing" the song. However, since everyone does know this song, if it's not dead on they will judge you for it. Whatever you do, make sure you practice and you're very comfortable with the song.
Best of Luck to you!
I think that you should sing what ever is comfortable. I'd sing either 'Part Of Your World' or 'Remember the Magic'
Its a disney audition! Sing Disney!
