I am going to Disney World in February and I have never been there. I wanted to see other people who have been there's opinion on best and worst rides. Is tower of terror really scary? waht about the Haunted Mansion? ectWhat are the best and the worst disney world rides in your opinion?
We live here, locally, and get to go to WDW quite frequently. There are tons of great rides.
MK: Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Comedy Laugh Floor, Carousel of Progress (especially if you're tired and want to sit down for a while)
EPCOT: Soarin' (long lines, get a fastpass), Energy of Progress (they've re-done it, so it's worth checking out...another one that will allow you to sit down for 45-minutes), Spaceship Earth (also re-done, and is pretty good)
Studios: Toy Story Midway Mania (the newest ride, so it's the hottest thing and very busy...maybe get a fastpass), Muppet Show
Animal Kingdom: Safari ride (try and ride this first thing in the morning...the animals are more alert, and it's not as hot as later in the day), Expedition Everest is great for a thrill (good roller coaster), Camp Minnie Mickey (great place to meet the characters)
Enjoy!
some rides you should go on:
magic kingdom- space mountain, splash mountain, big thunder Mountain railroad
animal kingdom- dinosaur, expedition everest, its tough to be a bug
mgm studios- rock and roller coaster, the great movie ride, tower of terror (although I did not go on this because I was young at the time)
epcot- test track, spaceship earth, mission space (although take into account that when I went I was offered a sick bag :/ )
The problem with this list is that there lots of other good rides but because there are so many good ones I have narrowed it down to a few. There are not really any rides that are bad, so you could go on any that you want and not be disappointed.
Also, if you are interested in countries or cultures, go to the world showcase in Epcot. Even if you are not, it's still quite fun.
The tower of terror thing really depends your age and how much you like rides, things like that. The haunted mansion is not that scary as it is for kids.
hope this info was helpful :)What are the best and the worst disney world rides in your opinion?
The tower of terror was scary for me! :D It's more of a thrill ride, really. It all depends on how easily you get scared. I would go on it right when the park opens, though, because the line for that gets really long.
The Haunted Mansion is cute and fun, but not scary. I still like it, though. It's one of those enjoyable rides that usually never have *too* long of a line.
The best rides, for me, are: Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Transit Athourity, Thundermountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Philhar (?) Magic, Everest, Harumbe Safari, Dinosaur, Aerosmith Rollar Coaster, Tower of Terror, Test Track, Mission: Space, and Soarin'. :) That covers all the parks, I think.
The worst rides are harder because they're not 'bad', but they just might not be for your age group. Umm... for me, the worst ride was Winnie the Pooh, but ONLY because I didn't feel it was worth a 90 minute wait. /:
Have fun! :D
My favorite is the Rock n Rollercoaster at MGM
The thing about Disney is ... Its not like most amusement parks.
They have to consider 1) insurance 2) people's health conditions
The Tower of Terror is scarier on the outside looking at it, than actually doing it. Its pretty fun.
Haunted Mansion is a must do. Its fascinating, and you dont get frightened just amused.
Splash Mountain is good too.
The worst ride... I dont know. Some of the little kids rides, but adults can go on them, also.
Oh I dont like the teacups, I dont like spinning rides that make you feel sick. What are the best and the worst disney world rides in your opinion?
i hate like all roller coasters and i went on tower of terror with a bribe attached and it wasnt that bad it kind of is way more fun than ill admit to anybody but its different than other free fall rides and it really is good quality and worth going on..haunted mansion is not scary in any way what so ever and the worst rides are like o canada and the movies in world showcase..my favorites are deffffff TOY STORY MANIA (%26lt;bessssttt) and soarins fun...test track for sure and expedition everest, the ones with the longest lines are the best basically ive been there 9 times and am going twice this year, i loveeee it! have fun (:
My favorite is the Toy Story Midway Mania, then Expedition Everest. My least favorite is Stitch's Great Escape. I also don't like the Carrousel of Progress, that's boring to me and it takes too long, but it is nice if you want a 20 min break from the heat. I really enjoy the Tower of Terror, but my husband hated it. It's worth trying.
I'm so glad you are going to Disney. I've been five times and it's GREAT. I'm an older gal so my favorite rides probably won't be your favorite rides. My absolute favorite is the Great Movie Ride at MGM. I love Test Track at Epcot, Small World at Magic Kingdom, Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom. The Haunted Mansion is a blast and we ride that several times during our stays. I hope you have a magical time.
my favorite ride is Soarin' at Epcot! It's a simulated hang gliding ride. It's not scary at all. You fly through the air in front of an IMAX screen.
The worse ride is the bus ride back to the airport!

BTW: Mission Space is a very intense ride that a handful of people have died on. They had heart problems... I went on it when it first opened, and I was dizzy for 3 days!
