I want to take some of my friends and I do not know if I should fly or drive. Also I do not know where to stay but I want to stay on Disney and we are trying not to spend a lot of money. So if you have anything please let me know. How should i plan a senior trip to disney world?
Fly- Take Southwest.
Stay at a value resort on Disney property: All Star Movies, Music,
Sports or Pop Century.
Use the free Magical Express service that takes you to and from the airport, don't rent a car. Also take the free buses that take you to and from the parks.
Bring breakfast items with you so you save money on one meal a day.
Call Disney world direct and tell them what you want to do and they will practically do all the work for you. Plus you should get a considerable discount for such a group of people. How should i plan a senior trip to disney world?
You would need to stay at any of the Disney value resorts for the lowest price. There are several to choose from in this price range. You need to check out what age you need to be to check in if you are not bring an adult with you. Booking on line with disney is the best way to go.
You would need to price out airfare and gas to determine which would be best. And how long of a drive it would be for you.
There are four value resorts on Disney property, All Star Music, Movies, and Sports, and Pop Century. All of these are the same price and are the cheapest, and they are all fine hotels. Pop Century is the newest and generally gets slightly better reviews than the other three, but it really does not make a lot of difference.
If you are staying at a Disney hotel, you will not need a car. So that is one thing to consider - you can use Disney's transportation to get around, so you won't need to rent a car if you fly. They will even pick you up at the airport for free. Usually flying is more expensive. But sometimes the time you save is worth the extra money. You will just have to run some numbers on some airlines and see how much it would cost to fly. Personally, I fly if I can afford it, but driving is not so bad if you have to.

Driving will absolutely be cheaper. However, since each person on the trip only has to pay for one ticket instead of a whole family, the difference may not be that big. It all depends on if you live close to a major airport. If you are served by Southwest or Jetblue, you might get some cheap flights.
As a side note, by flying down and having Disney take you from the airport to the resort, you will not have cars. This could be a big positive when presenting this trip to parents.
I agree with much of what has been said. You should stay on Disney property at one of the value resorts. There are many advantages to staying with Disney. If you fly, you can get their "Magic Express" service. They take your bags from the airport, provide you with a comfortable bus to take you to your hotel, and then your bags are delivered to your room. They do the same in reverse when you leave--they take your bags from the hotel and check them onto your flight. It's great!. Plus you get discounts on park passes and special days when you can arrive early or stay late at selected parks.
If you have a long drive, I think flying is better. If you drive, you have to have meals on the road and maybe even stay at a motel overnight. I doubt it would save you much money, and it sure wouldn't save you any time.
