Haha, I can help you!
At the Magic Kingdom, there is an attraction called "The Hall of Presidents." Your kids will learn about our nation's past leaders and how this country began.
Another attraction there, called "Carousel of Progress," can also be considered educational. You see how the United States has progressed in technology from the turn of the century to present day, and you even see where progress may lead us in the future!
At EPCOT, you will find "Spaceship Earth." This takes you through history of the world, starting from the very beginning. It's become much more educational after its new renovation!
There is also the World Showcase, which is one of the parts of EPCOT. You "go to" different countries of the world, including France, Italy, Mexico, Japan, etc. You can say that your child will be learning about cultures of other nations and eating other food from other countries.
Animal Kingdom is educational when it comes to: you guessed it, animals! You can go on the Kilimanjaro Safari, which is about as close to a real safari as you can get without going to Africa! You can simply state that your children are learning about the lives and daily routines of African animals in the wild.
I could go on for hours, really! I hope I helped, and I especially hope that this works out for you! If you want/need any other pieces of information, don't hesitate to e-mail me!
Most importantly, I hope you have an absolutely magical trip!!!
Thank you both for your question and answer...I need to do the same thing for my 1st grader for her absences to be excused. You gave me ALL the answers I needed, THANKS!!!

How is a vacation to Walt Disney World educational?Definitely do your research on EPCOT. The entire park is dedicated to education. Future World is all about technology that shapes our future. While World Showcase covers the culture and contribution of several nations. In a sense you travel the world without a passport.
One attraction of Future World at EPCOT is called "Living with the Land". What you and the kids will learn about Hydroponics, Aeroponics, and Aquaculture will astound you. How many teachers do you know cover this subject? For a fee you and your family can also take a back stage tour that covers the topic of agriculture. Our family found this particular tour very educational.
If you feel you'll need to submit more than that then by all means include the animals you learn about at Animal Kingdom. They even have an area called Affection Section which is a petting zoo that also offers fun educational activities dedicated to the preservation and conservation of animals.
Trust me your kids will learn more in the five days they spend at WDW than they will in a classroom. I suggest you start preparing your children so they can take full advantage of the educational experience at hand during their visit to
WDW.
Remember this; educating a child outside the classroom often makes the biggest impact.
Have a great time!
WOW SERIOUSLY?! thats nuts. we don't have to do that around here.
well epcot has TONS of educational aspects. you could say that the kids with learn about 11 different countries history, food, and culture in the world showcase and they will learn about agriculture, energy, sea life, and electronic technology in the future world section of epcot.
an example is "living with the land" they talk all about the history and advances in agriculture. and there is also "spaceship earth" it tells you the history of conmmuincation throughout the years.
and they will be learning about different animals (past and present) and their lives and cultues in animal kingdom. there are nature trails, a dinosaur "bone" dig, tons of animals with descriptions of what they eat etc....
the show "its tough to be a bug" shows you the lives and culture of certain insects lives.
at magic kingdom there is a show called "hall of presidents" its actually quite educational. you learn about the signing of the decloration of independance and the civil war and there are animatronics that look like presidents and some of them talk. and there is "carousel of progress" which shows the advances in culture and technology in the Us through out the 1900's.
and for hollywood studios you could say it teaches kids how the golden age of hollywood had a major impact on society and how the movies that were made back in the 30s and 40's have a major impact on the techniques used in the film industry today. there is a ride called "the great movie ride" it takes you through a series of classic film scenes and explains how the special affects and scenery were created.
and how we are all actors in different roles each day of our lives depeding on the situation we are in.
and how gravity plays a role in the rides "tower of terror" (which pulls you down at speeds faster that gravity) and "rock n roller coaster" (in which gravity pins you back in your seat).
you don't have to say you are going to all four theme parks. you could just say you are going to epcot and animal kingdom multiple days.
over all disney world really is educational when you think about it.
anyways i hope i've inspired some creatvie "lies" (oh i mean tried and true facts) for you to tell them.
if all else fails just use your cell phone from the hotel room each morning and tell the school you all have food poisoning. LOLHow is a vacation to Walt Disney World educational?
why do you have to go in september why don't your family just go this month or august
It's really not, at all.
If you're driving you might want to say you'll be hitting a museums on the way, and do just that (or lie).
There is something at MGM (now Hollywood studios) that teaches you about Walt Disney's life.
You'll quickly learn that Disney is a complete waste of hard earned money.
